Challenge
Warner Recorded Music turned to Miquido with a need for expeditious development of an internal conference mobile application. The 7-week deadline to deliver a fully functional product built with React Native was strict and immovable.
Assembling a team of the most sought-after cross-platform experts was no less difficult. And that’s why here at Miquido, we decided to face the challenge immediately.
Background
Delivering digital products for enterprise clients such as Dolby and Abbey Road Studio, Miquido truly understands the needs of the music industry. Flexibility, commitment, and the ability to work under strict deadlines have become part of our company DNA. As React Native pioneers, we know how to provide a native-like experience quickly, effortlessly and seamlessly. And that’s how we got all things perfectly done – one by one.
Solution
Due to the tight schedule, our team decided to work in weekly sprints. We knew there was no room for experiments, conjecture or mistakes. We had to work quickly and faultlessly. Hence, regarding the project team, the decision was simple. We immediately involved two senior React Native developers with extensive experience in delivering complex enterprise projects.
Scope of work
All the essential app features, such as onboarding, FAQ or event agenda, were delivered by our team right on schedule. We smoothly implemented visual and text content provided by the WRM and maintained control over the project schedule throughout all development stages. In dynamic projects, transparency is the key. We constantly reported on the development progress during weekly demos to maintain an excellent communication flow between our teams. As a result, we delivered the core MVP and fine-tuned the additional push notifications feature, which elevated the UX even more.
Results
Our flexible approach and technological know-how allowed us to deliver the Warner Recorded Music app even before the deadline.
Despite the fast work pace, QA tests proved that the application works smoothly and flawlessly. The feedback gathered during the conference was even more flattering.
Users indicated that the WRM app significantly improved their event satisfaction and suggested the further use of mobile software in internal communication.
Key takeaways
Make the core app features your #1 priority
Push notifications in the WRM app inform the user about the place and time of the next lecture. Surprisingly, this “nice-to-have” addition was the most difficult to develop app feature. Due to the tight work schedule, we prioritised core functions and saved the tough task for last. As a result, we delivered all key and extra app features in a stress-free way!
Sometimes it’s just right to make things easier
A flexible approach to project management can really be a lifesaver. In the Warner Recorded Music project, we reduced the number of meetings in favour of completing our key goal: delivering a scale-ready MVP.
Miquido not only delivered such a great, user-friendly app, they also paid a lot of attention to every detail. They really got involved in every aspect of the features of the app, and most importantly, they were always always available to answer us any questions we had.”
